The 1994 Baseball Strike

Hello Old Sports is part of the Sports History Network - The Headquarters For Your Favorite Sport's Yesteryear.

EPISODE SUMMARY

The Lockout of 2022 is thankfully over, and baseball season is in full swing. We weren't so lucky in 1994 as a strike ended the season in August, and cancelled the World Series for the first time in 90 years. In our latest episode, we discuss the issues that led to the strike, the eventual resolution, and the long-term impacts both on and off the field.

Jon Pessah's The Game, was a particularly valuable resource in putting together this episode.
